DESCRIPTION:Discover the projects from across England and Wales who have been awarded HNIP funding\, and learn how to unlock your own heat network.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nHeat Networks have been proven around the world as a reliable\, cost-effective and low carbon means of heat\, yet just 2% of buildings are heating this way in the UK. To provide much needed scale to this market\, the Government is committed to investing up to £320m of support to individual projects across England and Wales. \nSo far\, the Heat Networks Investment Project (HNIP) has announced £165 million of funding awarded to projects\, and this session will introduce to you the successful projects. It is a great opportunity to learn from those who have been through the application process and beyond. \n  \nThe Agenda (subject to change)\n9.00 – 9.05: Introduction\, Samantha Crichton (Gemserv LTD) \n9:05 – 9:10: Policy Overview\, John Saunders (Department for Business\, Energy and Industrial Strategy) \n9:10 – 9:20: Introducing the Heat Networks Investment Project (HNIP)\, Ken Hunnisett (Triple Point) \n9:20 –10:20: Project Presentations* \n10:20 -10:30: Break \n11:00 – 12:00: Themed Breakout Rooms* \n  \n*Each funded project will give a short introduction. You can find out more about each project by either joining the relevant breakout room (see below)\, or through a more detailed interview which will be shared on our social media feeds. \n** These breakout rooms will be themed based on the technology deployed in the heat network.
